Jatak Bodh Karyalaya was established by Late Dr. Harihar Sitaram Rajandekar in the year 1911 insmall village of ‘Rajanda’ in Akola district. At the same time Maharashtriya Panchang was started. He himself was an expert Ayurvedic doctor.  He played a big role in setting up an Ayurvedic College at Akola.  He loved astronomy.  He studied Panchang and Astrology with Shastri Pathrikar Guruji, a scholar from Hyderabad.

Late Dr. Harihar Sitaram Rajandekar (Bhausaheb) started printing of Vaidarbha Panchang and Maharashtriya Panchang from Rajanda. His son Shri Waman Harihar Rajandekar aka Dadasaheb, was an electrical engineer and was working at Military Engineering Services in Pune. In the year 1942 he turned his attention towards his father’s panchang work. In this work, he also introduced  his brothers Shri Shripad and Shri Sridhar who gave their full support. Late Shri Shripad(Balkaka) was a teacher in Nanded and he had hobby of mathematics. He helped Bhausaheb in mathematical calculations for panchang making. Later, Dadasaheb started a new publication called ‘Bharatvarshiya Varsha Bhavishya’. In a very short period of time, these three books gained popularity and were used by farmers, traders, businessmen etc. These Panchang have been receiving a lot of support from the readers for many years. Dadasaheb (W.H. Rajandekar) also had an in-depth study of astrology. Dadasaheb studied about 70,000 horoscopes and guided many people on various issues relating to job, business and family problems.

Dadasaheb wrote books – Panchangachi Olakh, Sulabhprashana Vidnyan, Grahpidava Upasana and Sarth Bhrigusutra. These books are very useful to the learner of astronomy and predictive astrology.

Late Shri Arun Rajandekar son of Late Shri Dadasaheb Rajandekar was Chartered Accountant by profession.

Shri Arun Waman Rajandekar and Smt. Vidya Rajandekar (spouse of Shri Arun Rajandekar) gave full attention towards Panchang work.

After the sad demise of Dadasaheb in 1988, Smt. Vidya Rajandekar took over the work of Maharashtriya Panchang. Due to change in needs of our valued customers, two new publication were introduced Shri Dhanalaxmi Pocket Panchang and Shri Dhanalaxmi Dinadarshika.

The holy work of panchang had begun with the grace and inspiration of Lord Shri Suryanarayan and will be continuously performed by us with his blessings.
